Who Should Attend
Those people who need consider attending are Avaya administrators, or anyone interested in learning more about the SIP protocol (as it pertains to Avaya systems). This is not a class for marketing or salespeople; it is a class for administrators, architects, and engineers.
Prerequisites
All students need, at least, a solid understanding of the IP network. A VoIP telecom background or previous exposure to Avaya products is ideal.
Course Description
Class covers several key topics: SIP training / SIP trunking, Avaya Network Regions (NR), SIP technology essentials, regular expression, overview of the Avaya System Manager, synchronizing communications manager and messaging data with Avaya System Manager, managing users, securing Avaya products, managing the Avaya System Manager routing, configuring and monitoring Session Manager instances, managing events and session data, SIP Enablement Server overview, outbound SIP call routing in communication manager, SIP trunking troubleshooting and engineering Avaya SIP trunking.
Class also involves hand-on labs that include: Deploying your own ITSP (deploying a SIP trunking service to mimic actually ITSPs), configuring the Avaya Session Manager, configuring the SIP Communication Manager and SIP troubleshooting with Wireshark.
