Claude Code Advanced Development

This standalone four-hour course teaches software developers to master advanced Claude Code. Investigate unfamiliar codebases, analyze system architecture, identify risks, and make safer modifications to complex systems to accelerate development velocity.

Claude Code Advanced Development

This advanced Claude Code course teaches professional developers how to work effectively with AI as a development partner. Rather than treating Claude as a code generator, you’ll learn to use it as an investigator, designer, reviewer, and debugger. This approach dramatically improves code quality, reduces rework, and enables faster shipping.

The course is structured around five core professional workflows:

  1. Investigation: Understand unfamiliar codebases without writing code. Identify architecture, risks, and technical debt before implementation.

  2. Diagnosis: Find and fix bugs efficiently using constraint-driven investigation. Learn to read strategically instead of reading everything.

  3. Multi-Pass Design: Force Claude to think through design before coding. Generate options, critique rigorously, and select designs that survive scrutiny.

  4. Subagents: Build specialized Claude instances for specific roles (code review, testing, performance analysis). Delegate, don’t repeat.

  5. Automation: Use /loop and Skills to eliminate repetitive workflows. Review 4 files against 3 criteria in one coordinated operation instead of 12 separate prompts.

Each concept is taught through live demonstration followed by hands-on labs using a real Go codebase (riftbattle-labs). You’ll practice each workflow on actual code, measure efficiency gains, and build a reusable toolkit.

By the end, you’ll understand that the best AI-accelerated developers are strategic about what they ask Claude, disciplined about design before coding, and systematic about scaling workflows.

Class is a combination of live instructor demonstration and hands-on labs using Claude Code and Git.
